SUction blast cabinets

The Disa suction blasting cabinet features a compact design with an integrated self-cleaning cartridge filtration system. It employs a high-efficiency grit separation and recovery mechanism to ensure consistent performance and minimal media waste.
Optional accessories include a tumbler unit and a manually operated fixed rotary table, enhancing versatility for various part sizes and processing requirements.

The installation works with a vacuum injection blasting system. For this, the blasting gun is equipped with two hoses, one for the compressed air and the other for the blasting medium. Using the created vacuum, the abrasive is sucked in from the funnel and sprayed onto the workpiece via the nozzle. Then the sprayed medium falls through the work grid and enters the abrasive funnel again. As dust separation, a continuously cleaning cartridge filter is used which extracts and separates the dust and other contaminants from the blasting medium. The separated dust is collected in the dust collection bin. The abrasive falls back into the abrasive funnel for reuse.

Robust construction

Built to withstand the rigors of daily industrial use, the blast cabinet features a heavy-duty steel frame with reinforced wear panels in high-impact zones. Critical interior surfaces are lined with replaceable abrasion-resistant materials to extend service life and reduce downtime. The robust construction ensures long-term reliability even under continuous operation, minimizing the risk of structural fatigue or deformation. This durability translates into lower total cost of ownership and consistent performance across thousands of operating hours, making it a dependable choice for demanding production environments.

Elliptical glove ports to suit a wide range of operator heights

The uniquely shaped elliptical glove ports accommodate operators of varying statures and arm lengths. This thoughtful geometry allows natural hand positioning and full wrist mobility, reducing strain during repetitive tasks. Whether the operator is tall or short, the ports enable comfortable reach and precise manipulation of parts—enhancing both productivity and workplace inclusivity without requiring custom adjustments.

Anti-static gauntlets

The included anti-static gloves (gauntlets) are specially designed to dissipate static electricity generated during abrasive blasting—a common issue when using dry media. Static buildup can attract dust, interfere with sensitive components, or pose ignition risks in certain environments. These conductive gauntlets safely channel static charges away from the operator and workpiece, enhancing both safety and cleanliness. They are especially critical in applications involving electronic parts, medical implants, or flammable materials, where electrostatic discharge must be rigorously controlled.

Adjustable feed valve

Precise control over media flow is achieved through a finely tunable feed valve that regulates the amount of abrasive drawn into the airstream. This adjustability ensures consistent surface finish quality across different materials and part geometries, preventing over-blasting or uneven treatment. Operators can easily calibrate the feed rate to match the job requirements—optimizing media consumption, reducing waste, and extending nozzle life. The result is repeatable, high-quality output with minimal operator skill variation.

Foot pedal operated blasting gun

Hands-free control is enabled by a responsive foot pedal that activates the blasting gun, freeing both hands for part manipulation. This ergonomic design reduces fatigue during prolonged use and improves precision, as operators can focus entirely on positioning and rotating the workpiece. The pedal offers smooth, proportional control—allowing gentle triggering for delicate tasks or full activation for heavier cleaning. This intuitive interface enhances productivity while maintaining a high degree of operational safety and control.

Integrated dust collector

Space efficiency is a key advantage of this system, thanks to its built-in reverse jet dust collector that eliminates the need for external filtration units. By integrating the dust extraction system directly into the cabinet structure, the overall footprint is minimized without compromising performance. This compact layout is especially beneficial for workshops with limited floor space or for multi-station production lines where equipment density matters. The streamlined design also simplifies installation, reduces piping complexity, and lowers maintenance overhead—all while maintaining high filtration efficiency.

Internal blow-down gun

An integrated internal blow-down gun allows operators to efficiently remove residual abrasive media from treated components before removal. Mounted inside the chamber, this tool uses clean, regulated air to dislodge particles from complex geometries, blind holes, or crevices—ensuring parts exit the cabinet clean and ready for the next process stage. This feature eliminates the need for secondary cleaning stations, streamlines workflow, and prevents cross-contamination, particularly valuable in high-precision sectors like medical device or aerospace manufacturing.

Typical Uses of the Suction Feed System Include:

Deburring
Blast finishing can speedily remove lightly attached burrs from complex machined components and can be more effective than hand or machine deburring in areas with poor accessibility. Non-abrasive deburring media leave even fragile materials untouched.
Deflashing
Beadblasting can be used to rapidly and thoroughly deflash resin-moulded or die-cast components. Brittle flash can be cleanly removed from intricate components without altering adjacent surfaces by precise selective impact treatment.
Descaling
Use bead or grit blasting to quickly remove heat scale, surface discoloration, oxides, rust, weld scale or corrosion. Restore a component’s looks and remove surface problems that interfere with painting, plating, coating, drawing and other processes.
