Mobile floor shot blaster: Efficient and environmentally friendly surface treatment expert

The mobile shot blasting machine is ideal for surface cleaning and anti-corrosion pretreatment of bridges, steel plates, ship hulls, large structures, and oil tank bottoms. It is also used for pre-construction treatment of concrete pavements on highways, urban viaducts, and airport runways

Why choose Disa?

Key advantages of mobile floor shot blasters

1.Flexible mobility, all-weather operation
The equipment has a compact structure and does not require complex auxiliary materials, enabling “clean up at any time and evacuate at any time”. It adopts a fully enclosed dry system, which is not restricted by rain, snow or low temperatures, and can work normally even in winter, significantly extending the effective construction period.
2.Intelligent Control and Excellent Technology
1)Precise control: The speed and depth can be freely adjusted according to the base surface condition, resulting in a neat and beautiful surface without the need for secondary trimming.
2)Excellent indicators: The friction coefficient of the concrete surface reaches 0.7~0.75, and the texture depth is about 0.45mm, which greatly enhances the interlayer bonding; the rust removal of steel bridge decks can easily reach Sa 2.5~Sa 3 level, completely removing rust and scale.
3.Green and Dust-Free, Ready for Use Immediately
10Dust-free throughout the process: Integrating high-power dust suction and filtration, dust and impurities are recycled immediately, with zero on-site pollution.
2)Circulation efficiency: Steel shots are automatically separated and recycled, and waste is discharged centrally without resource waste.
3)No post-treatment required: The cleaned surface is clean and dry with no residues, allowing direct progress to the next process.
4.Wide Application
Widely applicable to bridge construction (bridge deck roughening, steel plate rust removal), road maintenance (anti-slip restoration, marking removal, oil bleeding treatment) and industrial floors (runway, parking lot surface strengthening), it is the preferred solution for modern construction.

Operating principle:

Mobile shot blasting technology involves propelling abrasive shots onto a surface using one or more high-speed turbines. It is a non-contact cleaning method that utilizes a shot blaster to project high-velocity projectiles onto the workpiece surface from a close range. The process relies on converting the kinetic energy of these projectiles into impact force to clean and treat the surface. The efficiency of shot blasting depends on the quantity, size, velocity, and angle of impact of the projectiles. During the process, weaker or contaminated layers of the surface are removed, often creating a slightly textured profile described as ancontrolled surface roughness.Dust, spent shots, and debris are immediately extracted by a high-power vacuum system integrated with the shot blasting machine, which features a specialized filtration unit. Inside the machine’s separator, usable steel shots are automatically separated from the debris, cleaned, and returned to the recycling loop. The waste debris is discharged into a collection bin. To ensure maximum recovery of the abrasive media, a high-horsepower vacuum cleaner—often an integral part of the machine—operates in synchronization with the blasting turbine. Currently, mobile shot blasting technology is widely recognized as the most efficient, reliable, and commonly used method for surface preparation in international road and bridge construction.

Mobile concrete floor shot blaster: the components

Mobile shot blasting machine is mainly used for the preparation of concrete floors but is equally effective on steel surfaces. It is a medium to large machine for the professional contractor giving high production rates.

Blasting cabinet is constructed of manganese steel

Fully machined blast wheel support bearing assembly, blast wheel can be rotated in both directions

The cylinder is V-supported by 2–4 sets of wear-resistant rollers; driven by friction from active rollers, with horizontal adjustment for varying diameters.

Grill fitted into lower separator hopper unit assembly to eliminate foreign objects being allowed into the blast wheel and causing damage

The Abrasive Recycling Systems are an abrasives cleaning, recycling and separation system, designed for use with blast pot.The Abrasive Recycling Systems are an abrasives cleaning, recycling and separation system, Cleaning of abrasives is vital during operations to ensure maximum abrasive blasting productivity. With less dust and fines in the abrasive, not only is the blasting process more effective, but there will also be less airborne dust released into the environment, and less wear and tear on the blast pot and associated components.

Drive wheels are within the width of the blast cabinet, blasting width can be reduced for line removal and weld inspection,Self propelled variable speed drive allows complete operator control.

Dust collector fitted with integral compressor and reverse air jet pulsation system to allow continuous working.

The electrical control system is configured for the power distribution of three-phase AC with a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 380 V.Electric interlock and self-locking mechanisms are fitted to the blasting gun, maintenance door, abrasive controller and abrasive circulation system, ensuring reliable equipment operation and operator safety.

Work conditions:

1. The unevenness of work surface< 20mm; No water and relatively dry; Slope < 25 °
2. The environmental temperature: -20℃~60℃, temperature of steel plate is more than 3℃ above the dew point.
3. Humidity: A. The relative humidity of steel surface while shot blasting is not more than 90%. B. The relative humidity of concrete shot while shot blasting is not more than 95%
4. Altitude: 0 ~ 3000m, operation in rainy or snowy day can not be allowed.

Shot consumption:

Cement surface: about 30~80 g/m², it will change according different cement label or different surface smoothness.
Steel plates: although labels and attachments are different, we suggest to use 20~25% of irregular beads under any circumstances. According to the different surface treatment requirements of thickness and roughness, the shot consumption is about 80~200 g/m².

Adjustable Blast Intensity

By selecting specific shot sizes and shapes and adjusting the machine’s travel speed, operators can precisely control the abrasive flow rate. This flexibility allows for varying blast intensities, enabling a wide range of surface treatment effects to meet different project requirements.
