Shot Blast Slats and Chain links

Shot-Blast-Slats-Chain-links1

Chain links and slats serve as critical wear parts in shot blasting machines equipped with tumble belts (crawlers), steel belts, apron conveyors, and slat conveyors.

Chain links form the two heavy side chains that connect and drive the slats. The slats bolt or integrate into these links. The chain engages drive sprockets to move the entire assembly (continuous or indexed motion). The system also uses hardened pins, bushings, bolts, and rollers for connections and smooth operation.

Slats (also called flights, plates, or belt elements) form the continuous metal conveyor surface inside the blast chamber. Workpieces sit on or tumble across these plates while high-velocity shot from the blast wheels cleans or peens them. They take extreme abrasion and impact.
